Maricell and Jenifer met behind the chair long before they ever shared a salon floor. They've been building 77Salon Inc. on College Avenue together since 2008.

Maricell Cenidoza

A Bay Area native who has spent her entire career in beauty, Maricell co-founded 77Salon Inc. in 2008 with a vision for a salon that paired luxury experience with real community ties — sustainability, mentorship, and giving back.

She helps anchor the salon's culture of continuous training and the team-based approach guests feel from the moment they walk in.

Jenifer Akagi

Jenifer leads the creative direction of the salon and is the lead artist on bridal hair and makeup. A Bay Area native whose career also began in 1993, she's known for listening carefully and creating looks that hold up under lighting, photography, and a full day on your feet.

"Jenifer listened carefully, made suggestions, and worked patiently with me to create stunning hairstyles and makeup for the entire wedding party. She's a true artist — as well as being patient and kind."
